Practice Guidelines
- Players are expected to be present at all practices. If conflicting events or circumstances arise, you must communicate with the coaches PRIOR to practice. Do not send word via another player. Players are expected to communicate directly with the coaches; do not have someone else communicate for you. Players are expected to be present unless there is a direct conflict with a major event such as a family wedding or a mandated high school team game or meeting. Keeping in mind the expectation that players will be present at practice unless there is a direct, major conflict which is communicated in advance, players are expected to attend 10 of 12 practices, and must attend six practices before being eligible to travel.
- Players must sign in at every practice.
- Players are expected to be on time, and to be prepared to play at the start of practice.
- Players are expected to communicate directly about any injuries or health issues they may experience. You are expected to be at practice even if you cannot compete.
- Players are expected to communicate directly about other athletic competition that will affect their ability to perform at 100%, so that the coaching staff can recognize and accommodate individuals who may have just competed in another athletic setting, or be about to compete (the next day) in another athletic setting.
- Players must dress appropriately for practice: mouthguards, protective eye wear, appropriate shoes and respectable clothing.
- In the event of foul weather, a decision about practice will be made by 2pm. You may call 719-238-1607 to hear a message about the status of practice. Please do not call before 2pm. If a practice is postponed, we will re-schedule on the next available weekday.
- Disrespectful or negative comments, behavior or body language are not acceptable. Unsportsmanlike conduct is not acceptable.
